Watching Idol :D

Okay...so last post I was a little out of it :P Just a bit. Anyway, I have better news today! I sent my application into the Communication Sciences and Disorders department at school and I got accepted!!!!! I'm so excited! This is awesome. I can start my actual course work next fall and be almost finished with my college degree! *happy dance*

And now I'm watching American Idol while watching this. I DIED laughing when the wanna be rocker sang "Livin on a Prayer" by Bon Jovi. That was hilarious. I mean, he didn't have a bad voice, but good lord. He was such a freakin pansy! *shakes head* And now here's the guy who looks like he's going to past out. This guy is....sooooo bad. I have NO clue what he was saying! And I KNOW that song!!! He sang "Starts with Goodbye" by Carrie Underwood. Wow. That was horrible. OMG there's this blind guy who's going to audition! That should be interesting. More on Idol later.

Same shit, Another day

So, I'm watching P.S. I Love You, and it makes me cry everyday. It's so freakin sad. But, I love Gerard Butler, and his sexy accent. *drool* "P.S. I will always love you" *bawlsobcrysniffle*

Anyway, so I went to work today. I am now off for 3 whole days! :D So, I was at work today, like I said, and we currently have a promo in music for Buy Two, get the Third Free DVD's. This customer comes in and she says "So, are all of the DVD's buy two get the third free?" and I replied "Yes, all DVD, Blu-Ray, and DVD or Blu-Ray box sets are included." She replies RIGHT after "Are you sure it's all of them?" I looked at her. "Yes ma'am, they all are." I was getting annoyed at this point. Then, she looks around for a bit and then when she brings 3 DVD's up to the counter when she's ready to check-out she says "Now, are you SURE they're ALL buy two get the third-" and then I cut her off. "YES ma'am. I'm positive! They are ALL included in the promotion" and gave her a tense smile. I was just getting a little peeved. Geez. I mean, it seems like our customers have gotten DUMBER over the years. *hangs head* It's really bad. Really bad.

I think I'm going to go see a movie tomorrow. I want to either see Bride Wars or Yes Man. The former just came out on Friday. So, it's new. But, I've heard it getting terrible reviews from the critics, but then again I never go with what the critics say. If I did that, I'd have never seen Twilight!!! lol. Then, I don't know what I'm going to do. Just...idk.

On Thursday I volunteered to go to Central Elementary School and help hand out the books we collected at the store for this year's bookdrive. We needed to collect 1,100 books so every child could get a book and WE MADE OUR GOAL!!! And then some! I think last time I heard we were 70 books over and counting! That is so awesome that every child at the school is going to get a book. :D It'll be fun handing out the books. :)

Talk to y'all soon!

Okay, pissed off.

I know this is kind of trivial, but I was at work today and this lady came in. She was looking for all of these different DVD's, and I had to order one specifically for her, which we do all the time. The DVD I ordered for her was Steve Reeves Hercules/Hercules Unchained box set. So, then she asks about the Disney movie Fantasia. I tell her, "Ma'am, we can't get that for you. Disney has not printed anymore, so it's out of print for the time being." She looks at me like I have four heads. I explained they do this for pretty much all of their movies, so they can make more money off us folks. Didn't tell her the last part, but just started ringing her up. She says "I love that movie. It's so good, and it's got adult parts in it so even adults can enjoy it." I tell her, "I don't know if you already have it or not, but at the end of January, they are going to stop printing The Little Mermaid and all of the sequels on DVD, so if you don't have them you need to get them before the end of the month." Then, she starts saying "Well, I thought The Little Mermaid was a sucko movie. I mean, it's so juvenille and it's so stupid. It's like it was made for only kids to enjoy." I looked at her, getting very pissed off. I said, "Ma'am, The Little Mermaid is one of my favorite Disney movies. It was made for kids...which is why it's so juvenille. It's supposed to be that way" then she says "Well, at least with Fantasia there were adults parts we all could enjoy." I just let her go and didn't say another word to her, I was fuming by this point. Does she not realize who MADE TLM??? I mean really. That's just stupid. Grrr. Sometimes, I swear I hate customers. *hangs head*

Introductions!

Hello all! My name is Brianna and I am almost 21 in about 3 months, from good ol' Texas. About an hour north of Dallas, in a city named Lewisville, population almost 100,000. 91 something thousand. lol I live with my parents (birth parents), 17 year old brother and my grandmother. I love my familiy very much.

I am a third year student at Texas Woman's University in Denton, about 30 minutes north of Lewisville. My major is Communication Sciences and Disorders (Deaf Education) and a minor in Education. I want to be a Deaf teacher, or American Sign Language teacher. I haven't quite decided yet.

I work at Barnes and Noble in Lewisville, as a music seller. I love my department. I really do. I love my job and all the people I work with, even though I do gripe about it every once in a while...okay, so everyday. :P

I have two best friends; Leslie and Emily. The former lives in Kentucky and the latter lives in Florida. How did I end up with two best friends in two different states? The wonderful world of the internet. :D I met Leslie when I was writing my first fanfiction, "Concrete Angel" about Josh Groban and she was one of my readers. I met Emily through etsy.com when I purchased a necklace for myself and one for Leslie for Halloween so we could be Twilight characters. So, I owe knowing my two best friends to Stephenie Meyer and Josh Groban. How unlikely is that??? lol

I am a music fanatic. My favorites change a LOT but always constant are Josh Groban, David Cook, Bryan White, Paramore, Bon Jovi, Carrie Underwood, Celine Dion, etc. The list goes on and on, so if you ever want to chat about music, I'm your girl :D I also love books. Hello, I work in a bookstore! ;) Twilight- by Stephenie Meyer; House of Night Series- by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast; Princess Diaries Series- by Meg Cabot; World of Hetar Series, The Friarsgate Inheiritance- both by Bertrice Small; The Other Boleyn Girl- by Philippa Gregory, and the list goes on. :D

Well, now you know a little bit about me. :) I hope you get a kick out of reading my blogs. They will probably be random at times, but oh well! :D Talk to y'all later!
